Please help! Last year I found detailed lesson plans for RW second grade on this site. I copied the first unit. How can I find these plans again? I want to copy all of the units! There has to be an easy way to find this! The "search" didn't do the trick!

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it might be a good replacement if you don't find exactly what you have in mind.

http://www.wrsd.net/literacy/

Elementary Curriculum>RW Unit Trajectories>Grade Two gives you an overview of what lesson to teach what day on unit calendars

Elementary Curriculum>RW Focus Lessons> Choose the unit
this gives you the actual lessons that match the unit calendars

My friend found this yesterday and I am so relieved.

I just realized that they only give you every single lesson for the first unit, launching RW. They just give a few sample lessons for the other units. I guess I will supplement those with Debbie Miller and Growing Readers lessons.

For WW, they refer to Lucy Calkins a lot. They give some page numbers in LC and some lessons they give right online. Unfortunately, I cannot find the LC book anywhere.

Hi,

I believe the book they are referring to is Lucy Calkins The Art of Writing, 2000. You can get it at Amazon.com.

It's an okay book. But if you want a really good book on writer's workshop look up Ralph Fletcher's Writers Workshop The Essential guide.

This is another great site that has fairly detailed plans for both Readers' and Writers' Workshops. They do refer to resources specific to their district curriculum, but you can pretty much get a general idea

Mrs. J,
This is an unbelievable resource! Thank you so much for sharing. You got all of this done in one summer? It looks like it took years! I hope you received compensation for this work. Thank you again!
