I FINALLY read RWM this summer and am trying to put together my plan for the year. I'm working through each strategy, making a unit for each one, like an outline of minilessons. I haven't gotten very far yet, just lists of books to use, and I checked my school and public libraries to see which books are available to me. So I'd also love to see anyone else's ideas!

I don't have a plan for grade 3, but would like to look at the 2nd and 4th grade ones you found. Can you point me in the right direction? THANKS!

I don't know how to repost a thread but the title of it was
Readers Workshop--Unit of Study 1. If this doesn't help, let me know and I will try something else. It was a discussion from yesterday in the Sunflower room. It had lots of good information in it.

I teach 3rd grade and I used the 2nd grade lesson plans. The lessons went great.

Hi, I found great Year Long plans on this website

http://www.wrsd.net/literacy/

Go to the tab that says, "Elementary Curriculum." Then pull down the 3rd grade Readers Workshop curriculum they have put together. This site has a lot of great resources.

I would attach the 3rd grade plan, but Proteacher doesn't like us to post things we didn't personally create.

Great suggestions. I also finally got hold of a copy of the Fontas & Pinnell Guiding Readers and Writers book (thanks to my wonderful Title 1 Reading teacher). It is very helpful too. Especially chapter 9 that lays out the first 20 days. ) I am so exctied for school to begin, I can't stand it.
