The teachers on the 3rd grade board have been sharing resources they've found for Scott Foresman Reading Street. I really liked the trifold idea and template that soph shared, so I made trifolds for all of Unit 6. I thought I'd share them with you. Here's the blank trifold:

All of these are Word docs. I used questions from the sidebar of the Teacher's Edition--it will be easy for you to change if you want to use a different question.

I can't seem to get rid of the pesky, blank third page on the documents. Just tell your printer to print pages 1-2. . .

OK...while we're on break. Here is a MC spelling test for Antarctic Journal. This is the story we're on this week. I'll post what I already have made. I plan to make all of them so if someone wants a particular story please let me know and I will try to create one for you. No promises on quickness, but I can probably get to them over the weekend.

I use Reading Street for my 5th graders and also live the trifold idea. Where do you find the questions to ask? Did you just make them up or did you find them somewhere?

I'm not making the trifolds, but I believe they have said that they use the questions from the teachers' edition margins. For the spelling tests, I use the dictation sentences from the teachers' edition. Also, everyone using reading street, should be aware of Waltke's Web. There are some great resources here:

You are welcome. I tried forever to get rid of it too. I posted the original on the grade 3 board a while back but couldn't change it to two pages. Finally today I sat down determined to get it. For those who have already created trifolds and want to fix them, here is what you do. Go to the bottom of page two and drag the dotted line up a bit until page three disappears. Then resize the text box to fit inside the new dotted line area. I worked forever on margins etc and even went to microsoft's web site to get rid of it. They were no help. Finally I just tried moving the dotted line up. It was just the drawing on the page that was causing the third page to stay. Hope this helps someone. It drove me nuts.

I would love to hear from anyone that works in a school (or is the resource teacher) that uses Scott Foresman in resource as small group instruction.

Any ideas for for this would be greatly appreciated.
