Does anyone have any good experiments for teaching the scientific method? I seem to use the same ones each year and would like to try something different this year. Thanks!

I haven't done this yet, but it sounds fun---seeing how many water drops you can drop onto a penny without overflowing.

Check out the link above ... a discussion from earlier in the summer. Look down the postings - the instructions for Saving Fred and several other experiments you may want to try. Hope this helps.

Floating M

I found this one on PT and I am excited to try it and it seems simple enough for enforcing the steps of the SM.

Apparently the M on an M & M will float after it has been in the water for a few minutes because it is wax....go figure
