I Have You Have State Capitals.pdf

I have Who Has for state capitals. (I put the wrong name on it!) I'm going to use it along with the book "Yo Sacramento" by Will Cleveland.

Thanks to PT posters for telling me the name of the game!!

They are awesome!

Not sure since I can't print them to see if they all go together, but you may have one mistake. You end with Maryland as your state and it should wrap around to the top of your first card, but it doesn't because you have Montgomery there. I see you have Alabama on another card, but the next one has Annapolis.

These look great but you might want to fix Kentucky....Frankfort is its capital, not Louisville. Thanks for the wonderful job!

p1 Card 1--should read 'I have Annapolis'

p5 Card 1--should read 'I have Frankfort' (pointed out by a PP)

P5 Card 4--should read 'I have Montgomery'

Your cards are super!

You have done an incredible job on the game cards. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated. I have made a set but nothing as nice looking as yours. I will definitely print the cards and have them laminated. Thanks again.

I took a set of cards that were already made with states and capitals to which I was just going to add illustrations. When I finished with the pictures, I realized the states weren't all there, so I added the rest of them. That is why they don't make one long loop to the beginning. I have never played this game, but I don't think that matters.... as long as the answer is on another card.

As far as Frankfort is concerned, that is one on the original set that I found on PT. I didn't catch it, but would have once we played it. I have to say it is embarrassing. I think it would be more considerate to let others know of mistakes in a private message. That way they won't just stop sharing.

Thank you Misslili, Mkc235, Frybaby, Golffun, Aksuz, and Unseen. I really appreciate your kind words. It took such a looooong time to make these. I now have even more respect for all the time Unseen has put into making task cards for others

I see that you have thanked only those who did not offer you constructive criticism along with their praises for a job well done. I wonder how they feel now.

I think Magnolia did an awesome job! It's so nice that, with some minor editing (thanks to the help of many minds.....we always tell the kids to edit don't we....whether it's self editing or peer editing) we can all share another I have who has game! Fwiw, I've seen many attachments posted and people have pointed out what needs to be fixed, no biggie. Thanks again!

Oh, I had to go back and see what you were referring to, b/c I didn't that anyone wrote anything that would embarrass the OP. I still don't! We all make mistakes. I would be so glad someone pointed it out to me before I printed them all up! No one expects anyone else here to be perfect; I would appreciate any constructive criticism.

Just my two cents worth!

I have bookmarked plenty of task cards etc., and people are always checking for errors. They have always posted them just like they did on here. Don't take it personally...it's not to make anyone feel bad or embarrassed. I think it's always good to have an extra set of eyes to look at our work. We don't always catch our own mistakes! I know a lot of effort and work went into the game and I know I definitely appreciate when people share their hard work. Don't be so hard on yourself and don't expect perfection!!!!!!

Thanks again for your hard work and embrace the help and suggestions of others!

I have a right to my opinion and I still think it would be much more considerate to send a private message to point out mistakes. I have been talking to others in private messages who feel the same way. You don't have to agree with us, but you cannot change how others feel.

What a shame not to share just because others wanted to help. As pp's have stated, this goes on all the time when posters post something to print off. We are all looking out for each other, especially when it comes to printing things out and laminating them.

I guess now we all know to pm you instead of trying to help within the thread.

I'm sorry that you feel this way. No one put down your work in any way. You got much appreciation and thanks for sharing your work. But as you say, you can't change how others feel. And to me, it seems like you are being immature about this. I'm a little surprised at your attitude.

Your cards are fantastic! Please don't have hurt feelings over having your work "graded." Gotta know your audience ... bunches of teachers ... it's what we do best! Besides, if Colis edits your cards, you know they are going to be perfect when she gets through ... she is the QUEEN of EDITING!!! I am a huge fan! I took it as a badge of honor that she would edit the task cards I posted. Keep the cards coming ... I especially love the Social Studies cards!

Geeze give the girl a break! The poster said she was embarrassed, she did not say she didn't want anyone correcting her mistakes, just that it would be ďmore considerate to do it privatelyĒ.

Some of you just didnít drop it, you keep telling her not to be embarrassed. Maybe she is shy or has tender feelings. I guess If Iíd put that much time into something and shared it, Iím not too sure Iíd be real happy about people correcting it in front of everyone, especially if I didnít ask them to.

Maybe before correcting someoneís stuff you should just ask them first. What is this private message thing?
