It looks like our small school district is headed towards using PBL and PLTW. Does anyone have experience/opinions about these programs? Thanks.

Our upper grade teachers really love using PBL. It's much harder for the lower grades (and I think it has less pay-off the lower you go).

I am certified to teach the middle school PLTW class-Flight and Space. I really enjoy the curriculum as do the students. Everything is laid out and my district purchases all the supplies needed to teach it. If you get onto the websites you can see the different programs. There is one for elementary, one for middle school, and one for high school. The elementary one is basically an introduction. The middle school has multiple courses available such as flight and space, robotics, app builders….-teachers have to be certified through PLTW to teach the course and it’s expensive! The high school program gets even more in depth with the classes offered.
