science/social studies scope and sequence

Does anyone out there teach science and social studies for 5th? I am moving up from 3rd grade and would love to see a scope and sequence that integrates the 2 subjects where possible. I teach in TX, so help from a TX teacher would be especially useful, but any suggestions are welcome and helpful.

I have been asked to mainly teach science to help improve our scores. I hate it that non-tested subjects always have to take a backseat, but that is reality.

We have Pearson for SS and no curriculum currently for science. I have requested Mystery Science, though I know it's not comprehensive. I also use Edhelper and TPT and have considered getting a package from Science Penguin. The principal is considering a purchase of Forde-Ferrier vocab. workbooks.

Curriculum Map

I am currently working on our curriculum map for my district. We use OK Academic Standards, but they are NGS standards. I have paced it out, but now I'm going in and working on quizzes, assessments, labs, and assessments. You are more than welcome to look at/use it.

This will be my 1st year teaching 5th grade science. I would love to see what you have made. I'm not sure where to start.

MayCee thank you. This is very helpful. I am the only 5th and 6th grade science teacher at my rural SWOK school. Your curriculum map is very similar to my pace. We use Science Fusion. What curriculum do you use?

Teaching both subjects will be tough but I'm sure you will find a way to make it work. You will really like the science penguin. I have several of her bundles.

Thank you. Sorry for the late reply. I was having trouble getting back on the board and then summer school hit and now I have time to work on my scope and sequence and lesson plans. I will go to the link you provided!

Stemscopes

If your district uses Stemscopes by Accelerated Learning, the scopes are laid out in a really logical way. I'm moving from 4th to 5th this year. Stemscopes also has the new streamlined TEKS, which was really helpful when I created my new I can statements for my classroom.
