I have eaten termites (in Ghana...that Peace Corps experience!) but I am not really interested in eating insects just for the fun of it. I could, and under the right circumstances I would..but I woiuld rather not.

Apparently they are quite tasty. Dogs and copperheads love them. I don't plan on finding out.

If the cicadas were roasted and made into flour, I would have no problem with that but in the form they're in for this recipe? No, no thank you.

I think I'd have to be pretty hungry to enjoy eating cicadas that still look like cicadas and if I'm going to blow a bunch of carbs on a cookie I want to enjoy it. I have eaten things made with cricket flour, though, and it didn't bother me a bit.
