Anyone Hold Onto Old Calendars?
Old 09-27-2017, 10:46 AM

I have each years' calendars since Jan., 2012 and probably older ones back at my parents' house. I just like to keep them. I go back through one every once in a while which would have all my old events/jobs/college work, etc. Occasionally, I even wrote what movie(s) I saw on a certain day.

Will I ever throw them away? Hmm, so far, they're not piling up affecting my space, so so far, no.

What about you guys?

I keep them like a diary. Since it has important appointment s and birthdays on it. Even though I now also use Google calendar, I still keep paper ones. I have kept them from the 70's !

I started saving my desk calendars in 1996. I write every thing in them so they are a complete record of events, appointments, etc..

For me there is something cathartic about throwing out an old calendar and getting a new one.

So to answer your question, nope.. I don't save them.

They show orthodontist appointments, when Nixon resigned, babysitting jobs, HS graduation, my dates with my now 30 plus years husband, pregnancy appointments, births and deaths- they are a record of my life. I will keep them forever.

I keep old calendars and so did my mother. I found one from 1961 that recorded the milestones of my first year. (I was born in Sept. 1960.)

You guys' posts are making me want to hold onto mine forever now! I usually have something written for pretty much every single day, but sure, there's a slower month here and there. I'm pretty sure I still have another 10-15 before 2012 back at my parents'.

I keep my planners

DH is a pastor which for the IRS is considered self-employed. So I keep track of his mileage in my planner. Even though I type it all up on a spreadsheet when we do our taxes, I keep the planner as "proof" of sort, I suppose.
