Two Teachers killed in Vegas

I just heard on the news that two teachers were among those killed in Vegas. My thoughts immediately wondered if they were PT members.

So many lives lost and others changed forever. So sad is the state of our world.

I live in a small town. About 8 people from here were down there for the concert, vacation, etc. One 22 year old local gal was shot in the foot.

She had surgery there and is home now. This makes me sick. 😔

Not normal

We shouldn't accept this as a normal occurrence. Something must be done to address the gun culture and mental health issues.

Heartbreaking and frustrating and just plain sad on so many levels. Feel sick for all of the people who were just enjoying music and their lives altered or worse.

I'm so sorry!! I can't wrap my head around this and I didn't know anyone affected. I can't imagine how you're feeling. You've lost too many friends (HUGS)

I must agree with SusaninNJ, it's way past time to actually deal with mental health issues and gun control!

Grace, I am so sorry. This whole thing is so heartbreaking!

I too agree with SusaninNJ! We need to start making phone calls and emailing our reps tomorrow!

My friend worked in one of their classrooms today as a sub, I can't imagine how difficult that was. She's the district math coach (my friend)

Today a student told me his parents almost went to it. So scary.

Grace- I am so sorry.

Sarabeth - I can't even imagine. There are no words.

It is just awful. I'm afraid there is no answer and sadly, this probably won't be the last.

The acts of heroism coming out show that there are so many good people out there. Many more good than evil.

Last night he spoke about our responses...hurricanes, can't be avoided but we blame the victims for not doing enough... mass murder, oh so sorry but what could be done? Seems warped.

This mustn't be our new normal. We are saddened but action needs to be taken NOW.

Yes, we're in scary, treacherous times! It seems no one can have any fun anymore and you almost don't want to go anywhere where there will be big crowds. Sad.

My principal's cousin was killed as was 2 others from my state.
It hit me hard because we were going down to Vegas a couple times a year to go see their broadway shows and we would stay at Mandalay Bay or the Delano which is attached. We were just there in June. And we would have been down there this weekend if I had some personal days left.
