I woke with sharp pain in my thigh on the outside close to my hip than my knee. I was sleeping on it. It was a sharp pain and would come and go if I stayed on that side. Could this be a blood clot? Iím scared it might be because of all the sitting in horrible chairs Iím doing at home for work. Any had a clot before?

I haven't had a clot but I thought they formed more in the peripheral vessels like the calf.

Sounds more like a stretched ligament.

Definitely call your doctor during hous!

Call your doctor, and get it checked out.

I have Factor V which makes you prone to blood clots. I have been told that a blood clot usually feels warm to the touch.

Thanks all! I actually saw my registered nurse at school today. Since I donít have Internet at home I have to go to school. But I will change next week. Anyway, she said it was sciatica. She had me do some stretches and based on my reaction she said no not a clot. But she did say that it would be more in the calf. So I am much relieved. My anxiety this year has been off the charts. Take care.

I'm glad you checked it out and all is well, except for the sciatica pain which I know is horrible! I hope you feel better quickly!
