What do you miss?

This may have been posted, but I don't see it. If you could pick the top 5 things you miss the most right now (in any order), what would they be?

Here are mine:

1. Hugging my adult children

2. Shopping in the outlet mall

3. Movie theater popcorn

4. Hanging out with our friends

5. Eating in an outdoor restaurant with a band playing (weather is beautiful for that right now!)

Except for all the junk food I posted in a different post, I feel like I haven't had time to miss anything yet! Yesterday I was on a Zoom call, emailing, reading about security issues related to Zoom, setting up communication hubs, reading about best practices right now, recording videos, or responding to students from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. without getting up from my chair. I took PT breaks here and there but was mostly working straight through. Then DH and I tried to take a walk but it was way too cold and windy. I came back inside and worked until 10:30 when he convinced me to watch a TV show.

Today I'm again on Zoom calls or emailing or recording videos all day long but have more 5-10 minute breaks between calls to jump on PT and FB.

1. Being able to go to Chicago to see my son graduate from Navy Boot Camp this month.
2. Being able to visit my Mom weekly.
3. The ability to randomly go shopping when the desire arises (and not at an 'essential' business)
4. Being able to get together with friends for lunch or coffee
5. Never thought I would say this: going to work! I miss the routine and my coworkers and the social aspect of work!

1. A sense of security

2. Seeing and hugging extended family - we always get together at Easter and that experience will be sorely missed this year.

3. Seeing my friends at school

4. A regular routine - Even in the summer, I keep a routine and try to get out and do things on a daily basis.

5. Eating out. We did it regularly and I miss having the opportunity to do that.

6. (I know you said 5) The dream of retirement. Our retirement accounts are taking a big hit and that dream is toast.

I miss going to church services.

I miss getting together with my card-making friend; sometimes just for brunch or lunch.

I miss getting together with my keyboard partner friend. My assumption is that we will not be having our annual June concert.

Iím pretty much a homebody, but I do miss a few things.
  • Getting my nails done.
  • Putting on makeup and nice clothes.
  • Getting massages and back adjustments.
  • Going to stores just to browse.
  • Meeting friends for dinner or a movie or shopping.
  • Interacting with actual human bodies during the school day.
