Redecorating my house......

So I'm totally stir-crazy these past few weeks locked up in my house. And I don't have the $$ to really redecorate. So I'm "shopping" in my house. Moving wall decor, accent tables, decor, all around to other spots. Even changing curtains!

I ordered some chalk paint online, so I painted an old dresser yesterday.

It's fun! I love the "new" look, especially in my dining room and living room!

I should also mention that I have NO COUCH right now! When we're all being forced to be couch potatoes, I am couch-less. My 22-year old DD moved out last weekend and took the couch with her. It was cheap, and wasn't wearing well, but it's big and comfy. Just right for a starter apartment. I ordered a new couch, but it won't be delivered until May 1st at the earliest. I do still have a big, round "chair and a half" that DD couldn't fit in her apartment....so I'm not sitting on the floor lol!

Anyone else redecorating?

I've been working on my house for awhile. During the stay at home phase dh and I have concentrated on redoing a guest bathroom. I have moved some things around here too like you have done. Have fun

But you are much more energetic than I am. Enjoy the new look of your home and I hope you love your new couch when it arrives.

I am not redecorating. I am just trying to keep my home clean. I am accustomed to maids helping me every two weeks so this is enough activity for me.

Sounds like you are accomplishing a lot!

I went through a chalk paint phase awhile back, maybe I will paint my bedside table soon. You are inspiring me

I would like to order new curtains because our vertical blinds broke last week and the sun is just beating in our house.

We need to repaint, but we aren't. We would have to hire a painter and I'm not doing that right now. It just isn't that urgent to me.

Have fun redecorating!

I do need to get some new furniture for our living room, thanks to our cat! Maybe once the stores are open, I'll go shopping. I have been moving a few things around. Mostly I'm just noticing that the flooring needs to be replaced, the backyard needs major renovations, etc. More $$$ than we have, for sure!

I've painted the hallway, kitchen and breakfast nook so all the art came off the wall and I've tried switch out where they are hanging.

Several years ago there was a show on HGTV (before it became real estate centric) that did that exact thing - shop your own house. Isnít it amazing how well it works out?
