Sequence of Events observation PLEASE HELP

I have my formal observation on Thursday. I am teaching sequencing events from a non fiction text. Has anyone used a non fiction text to sequence the events? I tried googling and couldn't find anything "rigorous" and our school doesn't have the resources.

I am freaking out! Please help.

A how to is nonfiction and following a recipe is definitely a sequential task and it is certainly relevant.

What about a biography? It is non-fiction and the person's life could be put into sequence. Try one of the famous Americans you need to teach (get the social studies content in there too!).

I agree with tdf. Biographies might be a create idea to use in order to teach sequencing events. You could get a biography, like the biography on Anne Frank then after reading the story with the children and pointing out the beginging, middle and end. Then give them another shorter biography and do a worksheet.
