Do you turn off the speaker every day before you leave or do you leave it on? I turn the microphone off and charge it. However, my speaker is high on the wall, and I need a step stool to reach it. Do you leave it on or turn it off?

I turn it off when not using. We have a remote on/off switch so I don't have to climb to main speaker.

I think it "hums" when not using.

was up high and I had a remote. I turned it off any time I wasn't using it.
The one I have now comes through my Promethean Board. I leave it on, but charge the battery on the mic at noon while I'm at lunch and at night.
