Perfume survey
Old 07-09-2020, 07:42 AM

I’m very much a scent oriented person. Curious if others have similar experiences. And yes, I know many people are allergic and don’t wear it.

1. Do you have a signature scent?
2. What is your favorite perfume?
3. Do you change perfume depending upon mood or situation?
4. Are there any perfumes from the past you wish you could bring back?
5. If you could mix your own scent, what would it contain?

Answering perfume survey

Iíll go first.

1. Do you have a signature scent?
I gravitate towards anything amber based.

2. What is your favorite perfume?
Tom Ford Noir.

3. Do you change perfume depending upon mood or situation?
Yes. Some days I like amber, other days itís all woodsy/forest scents from Juniper Ridge. Special events Iíll wear Cliniqueís aromatic Elixir.

4. Are there any perfumes from the past you wish you could bring back?
Pavlova...it was soft and flowery. Alliage....very woodsy and getting hard to find.

5. If you could mix a scent, what would it contain?
Walking a path one day, I pulled a geranium leaf and a sprig of lilac. Those two scents together are heavenly.

I seemed to never be a big perfume person and sure haven't bothered in the last 10-15 yrs, but actually bought a few in my day.

1. No signature scent
2. Nothing currently
3. I think having 2-4 to rotate is nice.
4 & 5. I just seem to like either clean, citrusy, fruity, spicy scents.

The ones I've actually bought were:

Back sometime in the 1990s I think, Laura Ashley No 1 and the bottle looked like this:
https://www.overstock.com/Health-Bea...4/product.html

Calyx™ Exhilarating Fragrance by Clinique which they still sell:
https://www.clinique.com/product/119....ds&size=50_ml

Hawaiian Ruby Guava by Pacifica:
https://www.pacificabeauty.com/colle...erfume-roll-on

Scents and memory

I wear Pure Grace and Living Grace from Philosophy. Pure Grace smells like the beach to me. I love it. I own other scents that I wear less often, like Romance by Ralph Lauren and Evelyn Rose by Crabtree & Evelyn.

My mother wore Paloma Picasso and when she died, I kept the bottle. It reminds me so much of her, the way Old Spice reminds me of my dad.

1. Do you have a signature scent? Something definitely NOT floral-based - especially rose
2. What is your favorite perfume? Tie between original Heavenly by Victoria's Secret, and A Thousand Wishes by Bath and Body
3. Do you change perfume depending upon mood or situation? No
4. Are there any perfumes from the past you wish you could bring back? No
5. If you could mix your own scent, what would it contain? Probably essential oils (again, no florals)

I don’t use perfume. It began because of the possibility of being around those with allergies, but I realized I just don’t care enough about perfume to bother. Smelling clean is good enough for me.

I rarely wear perfume. If I do, I wear Garden Botanika Heart. I wish they would bring back the Heart scented shea butter soap since I prefer soap to body wash.

Back when there were Garden Botanika stores, I did mix some of my own scents but I really never improved on Heart.

Every now and then. But nothing heavy. (If I was around someone with allergies, of course I'd refrain.)

I get tired of scents, though, so I never get the full sized bottles.

Right now, I like DKNY Be Delicious Rio and Versace Bright Crystal.

I wish Silky Underwear by Lush would be brought back. I loved it so much, never got tired of it, and just smelling it would put me in a good mood (so much that I'm a bit suspicious of the ingredients, lol).

I wore perfume back in high school, but don't anymore. Most perfume and floral scents really bother me. If I did wear one, I liked the description of this (from a book) - orange flowers, jasmine, vanilla beans, and cinnamon.

I've never really worn perfume, but I do have a fondness for Love's Baby Soft (thanks, elementary school friends ) and anything with a light vanilla scent (thanks, powder I had in middle school). I did actually have a few of the fake designer body sprays when I was in middle school- fake Giorgio and something else?

I do not wear perfume but I wish I could find a scent that I like.

Right now my 'signature scent' is a combination of Deep Woods Off and Neutrogena Sun Screen!

I am a perfume collector. Weird, because I didn't really like perfume until about 2 years ago. I do not wear it at all to church so I don't irritate other parishioners, and I wear inoffensive scents if I'm going to be indoors with other people. I do not like scented candles, air fresheners, lotions, or other scented body products at all.

1. Do you have a signature scent?
I do, by season. Fall/winter: The Only One by Dolce and Gabbana, Spring: Saint by Kat Von D, Summer: Beach Walk by Replica

2. What is your favorite perfume?
It changes. Alien by Thierry Mugler is one I almost never wear because of how heavy it is but I absolutely love sniffing the bottle or spritzing it on a cotton ball and putting a teeny dab on my wrist. I know, weird.

3. Do you change perfume depending upon mood or situation?
Yes! I usually wear a different perfume every day.

4. Are there any perfumes from the past you wish you could bring back?
It still exists, but it is hard to find, Carolina Herrera Chic.

5. If you could mix your own scent, what would it contain?
TBH, I'd probably create a disaster so I'll leave it up to the experts. My favorite perfume notes are jasmine, tonka bean, berries, cedar, and vanilla.

I wear Amazing Grace and Fresh Cream by Philosophy. I used to wear Sunflower by Elizabeth Arden. They still make it (I had to check) so I might try that again.

3. Do you change perfume depending upon mood or situation?
Yes, in the winter, I like richer, fuller scents. I use Angel by Theirry Mugler in the winter.

Nothing that I can recall.

5. If you could mix a scent, what would it contain?
Lilly, jasmine, sea salt and musk.

I enjoy Jador, but only a tiny bit and Windsong.

Avon used to make one called Tocurra that I would love to try again and Love's Baby Soft.

I also love Freesia from Bath and Body Works as a room spray, but not so much on me.

I wear Amazing Grace scented body lotion and spray mist. I get a lot of compliments on how good I smell. So I guess that answers questions 1&2.

I donít change perfumes.
