I admit that I am never "ready" to go back to work, but usually I am thinking about things, doing a little bit, and have some things that I am somewhat excited to do. So, not ready, but not "not looking forward" to it, if that makes sense.

This year I do not want to go. There is nothing I am excited about. Nothing I am looking forward to. I can't make myself do anything to prepare, and boy is there a lot to prepare! I don't want to do it.

My district is going back with a choice of in-school or all online - no hybrid. I'm thinking of applying for ADA, and asking to teach remotely instead of in person. I'm old enough to be high risk. But - I have no idea what grade or subject i would be assigned to teach, and there is no guarantee that the elective position I have and love will be there for me when school gets back to "normal". I really don't want the littles, though I am licensed for them!

So like Kahlua, there's nothing I'm excited about. Right now, I have no idea how or what to prepare. I probably need to empty my classroom of all my personal things. Ugh.

Ima! I've done that!

My long hair cat sheds so much that I'd like to shave him and start over.

I have a window open. It's hot outside. The ac is running. I don't care. I need fresh air in this one room or I am going to suffocate. DH's head would explode! He wouldn't even let DD open the blinds in one room the other day because he thought the sun would make it too hot.

I wake up, feed Aikman and then go back to sleep. Itís 11:00 and weíre still in bed. We do this every morning.

Like the others, I have no desire to go back to school.

My dadís coming in for my surgery too and, while I love him, it was easier just having my mom here (for lots of reasons).

Iíve been trying to get up and walk Aikman every morning. So far Iíve done it once. But weíve walked every night for over a week.

I LOVE this idea.

It's almost lunchtime and I have done ONE item from today's list. I'm thinking of adding some things to the list--like post on PT, text with sisters--just so I can check something else off!

I need to go walk, but I don't feel like doing it.

I saw a bit on a news program about a diner in Maine shipping out Whoopie Pies during the pandemic. I think I might have gone to the site to check out the price.

I absolutely hate carrying a phone with me wherever I go. I usually just leave it in my bedroom all day, and I don't care if people get annoyed with me because I am not readily available.

But now I have to carry it while I wait for a doctor's assistant to get back with me about something. No pockets. Double annoyance.

My favorite thing to do these days is to snooze "friends" on Facebook. I tire of their bragging or their political lectures. Somehow it feels so delicious to have them fade out fo my life fo a month. If only I could do that in real life.

I have been doing calorie counting with DH and suffering through boring breakfast entrees. So sometimes after he leaves for work I hop in my car and drive to El Sombrero to chow down on a delicious breakfast burrito.

I just had a back yard, distanced-ish, catch up day with friends. It was so nice to catch up!

It also meant getting up a few hours earlier than my usual so I am exhausted. Iím back in my comfy clothes, relaxing with the AC blowing on me. I think itís going to be nap time very soon!

I'm sick of Hallmark Jingle in July! He LOVES Christmas movies but me not as much. It's like the cootie catcher game where there are 4 actresses, 4 actors, 4 settings and 4 plots and we "open" to see which we got.
