Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am working on Comp 3. I have the following videos I could use but I'm not sure which would be best... #1 Students in Small groups of 4 discuss their answers about the text and take notes on their groups answers in preparation for a writing assignment. #2 Whole Class Discussion- Students analyze a visual text. #3 I work with a small group of 8 students out of 26. Using direct instruction, we write a paragraph summary together while their classmates work independently. I was originally planning on using videos 1 and 2 but I realized they are both focused on analyzing a text they read. So I thought instead I could use video 1 and 3 but I don't know if they will be both considered small groups? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree that 1 and 3 are both small group, so I would not go that route.

I don't know if you mean ages 9-12 or grades 9-12? There isn't a cert for "English." Do you mean ELA or LRLA?

if the person teaches English grades 9-12, then going by the assignments they listed, it's ELA AYA.

it's my cert area as well.

my suggestion would be to decide just how strong #2 is. if you think it's strong, use it for whole class. then decide if #1 or #3 is the best for small group AND if you think the work your kids are doing in it is different enough from #2 to showcase the widest range of your teaching practice.

i filmed 5 different lessons and had to juggle which ones were most complementary. i think a lot uf us had to deal with this. good luck!
