Our two cats shed so much hair even after I sweep Iím always finding clumps of hair everywhere. Does anybody have a robot vacuum you recommend. I was thinking of possible getting one today on Amazon.

Yes and it has changed my life. Not kidding. Itís incredible. I love my iRobot Roomba 960. It handles hair very well. The app is easy to use. There is no feeling quite like getting the message that my robot has completed a cleaning job while Iím at work. One of my best purchases ever.

Roomba

I bought this one from Amazon this spring. I paid less than $200 for it so the current "sale" price on Amazon ($225) is not a good deal.

Anyway, I also have two cats (one long haired) and it works really well.

I run it every day and I have a one-floor, 1,000 square foot house with laminate floors and a largish living room carpet.

I don't have one but I'm following this because I definitely need one. I have three cats, two long haired. I'm just like you, I vacuum and five minutes later there are fluff balls on the floor. I wish they weren't so expensive.

DH bought a Eufy robot vacuum in December. It is awesome! I am amazed at how much dog hair it picks up daily.

We have two cats and a dog... and so much pet hair! We bought this Eufy vacuum and it's been great. It's regularly $300, but there's a $100 coupon right now.

We have one an havenít used it in months. I guess I need to give it another try. It is a Roomba. It seems to snag up in the dining room chairs and knock into things. Am I doing something wrong?

I have a Deebot and love it!! In the morning I set it in the room I want to clean and just let it run. If it's doing the living room where its base it located, it will try to find its way home when the battery runs low. It doesnt always make it back home but that's no big deal. I just pick it up when I get home. It does a great job with dog hair.

I just bought a Bob Sweep Robot Vac/Mop from JC Penney! Itís on sale for $180 plus there a a coupon code and free shipping. Here is the link.

My sister has a Roomba and loves it. I cant afford something like this without a deep sale. Itís supposed to be great for pet hair.

Robot vacuum question
Old 07-16-2019, 12:06 PM
  #14

Although we plan to go to vinyl plank flooring sometime, right now our open floor plan house has laminate in the kitchen/dining, tile in the entryway, and a medium pile carpet in the living room and hall to the bedrooms, that are also carpeted. With 2 cats and 2 French Brittany dogs.

Can any PTers suggest a robot vacuum that can cover hard surfaces AND carpet?

Thanks for any advice!

Roomba

I got mine of Black Friday a couple years ago. Awesome price! We have four cats. The Roomba does an excellent job. We have tile, carpet, and wood. It works great on all. You don't know how dirty your house is until you get a Roomba! The only downside is it is quite noisy. My husband usually runs it when I'm not home!

Cat Woman, we had the same issue with it getting caught on things and bumping things around. We had one years ago, so maybe they have gotten better, but I wasn't impressed. I also could never get it to do do my whole house.. it kept doing the same room over and over again.
