I teach high school students with severe cognitive disabilites life skills. I am always looking for new materials to use in the classroom. We recently started travel training. I work with them also on budgeting money, reading in the environment, cooking skills...

Can anyone suggest some other materials/curriculum to add some spice to my classroom?

THANKS

how about following directions? I'm not too familiar with the abilities of HS students who are cognitively impaired, but I'm sure following directions from a booklet would be an essential life skill.

For example, buy one of those Lego's bins with all different pieces inside. They usually come with an instruction booklet on how to make different things.
