Same bedspread, different pillows/arrangements (look closely). Iím trying to incorporate your previous opinions. Do you like any of these? If yes, which?

I like the lower left arrangement best. It ties everything together with the painting.

Can we see a close up picture cture of the painting, pretty please?

Great attention to detail. I like bottom left but I can't tell you why. I do not like bottom right because that one light colored pillow on the diagonal looks out of place to me. The other two are fine I just prefer bottom left.

I like top right and bottom left. The pillow in picture four with the corner sticking up messes up the flow. The room looks very calming.

When I am creating art like a mosaic or a collage I like accents in odd numbers. Bottom left has 7 pillows instead of six. That tube shaped pillow anchors the design for me.

1956BD made a really good point. I've read that decorating with an odd number of objects is more pleasing to the eye than even numbers.

Pillows

Don’t hate me...I think your pillows are too wimpy for the bed and color scheme. The room is monochromatic and needs a statement piece and more texture.

I would look for a few larger pillows with interesting texture...sort of like the big grey ones you have, only bigger. Or with embroidery or needlework or beading or weaving. I like the yellow one, but it needs to be bigger.

As to color, I like the yellow and dark grey. Maybe a pop of orange, or luxurious cream color.

Here’s my bed. The big blue ones are just cotton.
The gold ones are damask and a somewhat silky background.
The smallest ones are a rougher weave and the blue design is velvet or flocked.

The bottom left gets my vote as well! I have always heard there should be an odd number of items in a grouping, so I like the addition of the roll pillow.

Keltikmom, your bed is beautiful! Iíve ordered a faux fur throw for the foot of the bed for texture and I appreciate your suggestions, but Iím kinda done with this room for right now. After all itís ONLY the guest room.

LazyLake, do you approve of the yellow/gold addition?

Thanks for posting the painting picture! I appreciate how you've brought the colors of it into the room with your pillow choices.

Top right is my favourite but it looks oddly unfinished. If you put the two smaller white pillows together and put the yellow pillow on top so it overlaps the two white ones, it might look more finished.

Bottom left is my next choice because there's an uneven number and it looks more finished. I'm not a big fan of those kinds of pillows though but that's just me.

I love the painting.

I love how the yellow pillow pulls the yellow from the painting.

Bottom left looks more finished with the cylindrical pillow. I also love how you tied into the colors of your beautiful painting. A throw would only make it more inviting - guests may not want to leave.

Bottom left is perfect. I did say to turn the one pillow on the corner. If I did that it would be the yellow one but the tube pillow gives it more visual interest and looks great.

I need to know where you got the pillow with the gold in? It will match one of my bedrooms perfectly!
