I work with Miss Polly Perfect. I love how she daily speaks to me as if I am an idiot. I get my head bit off by her several times a day and enough dirty looks to drop a sane person. Being an idiot I am resistant to her looks. She never has discipline issues as her students are perfect. Her lesson plans and room are immaculate. Oh, and she has no one at home to mess up her schedule unlike me. Maybe someday if I work hard enough, get cold hearted enough I can be just like her. Oh what a day that will be.

Sounds like she needs a pet, a hobby or a boyfriend!

Perhaps you can appreciate that she does plans and doesn't send behavior issue students to you.

usually with these peopel I just have a habit of agreeing with them enthusiastically because it makes them go away faster.

We once had a teacher like that. Her first year she was perfect. Her kids were perfect, her lesson plans were perfect, her classroom was perfect. It drove me NUTS!!!

Well the next year she had the class from hell. Needless to say she is no longer a teacher by profession.

I work with someone like that who made everyone's life hell. Rude, and excessively offended if you gave her any info. about a former student, which she now had, that contradicted the ways she approached the child. Nasty. Went to principals all the time complaining about others. Principals said they would help those of us on her attack list, but they did nothing. Then a friend of mine, a psych nurse (really!) told me to find something nice to say to her to distract her. It worked! She loves being perfectly dressed, of course (the others of us sit on the floor with the little kids & are casually attired). Every now and then, especially if we have to do any planning in common, I find something nice to say. It keeps her distracted from those nasty barbs!

Maybe she doesn't have anything else in her life? That's kind of sad.

Her sister, Ima Perfect! She doesn't mind telling everyone that she is perfect. She is the principal's pet too. The principal also doesn't mind telling the school how perfect Ima is, or offending Ima's partners by letting them know they will never add up or be as good as Ima! Her evaluations are all the perfect score, she is recognized almost daily over the intercom, etc...it makes many in the building want to puke!
