Clip to ScrapBook #1

Not sure if this is the right place...but

Some of you may know I have not been happy lately with teaching. I decided to leave the field and find another job in a different field. Can anybody suggest what kind of job I can do with my BA and MS in Education and 2 years (5 years with subbing)of teaching that also pays enough? I would very much appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you!

If you are willing to go back to school, nursing (or other medical fields) may be an option. Some of your credits should transfer. At any rate, colleges offer testing (sometimes free) to see where your interests/strengths are. I went back to school and took courses in medical coding. I took my certification test on Saturday and if I passed, I can start a job search. I am now subbing until that other job door opens.

...going to suggest corporate training. And the medical option. I am on my way out the door as well...into radiology. With my science background that works well. It seems that you would have excellent language skills, the corporate world may need you! Best of luck!

Court Stenographer, Librarian (guess they make pretty good money and have benefits!), Flight Attendant (you get to travel!), Public Relations...I'm at 20 years in teaching, and am planning my escape, as well!
My prediction is that we're going to see a teacher shortage in this country.

How do you go into corporate training? What do you search for? Which sites do you use? I am sick of this field. I love working with the children, but the nepotism has finally pushed me over the edge. Thanks for any input!
