Room with a view

My spouse had knee replacement surgery today. Have to serve in the military to get it, but the views from a VA hospital room are tough to beat. Mt. Hood is there underneath the clouds and we can see six of our eleven bridges.

And to the north we can see Mount St. Helen's, and the tram that connects the hospital next door (OHSU) to it's campus on the waterfront.

Beautiful views! When I was 35 I had major surgery and was admitted 3 or 4 times with complications and a second surgery at OHSU. I stayed at the V.A. there when OHSU was full (they rent out rooms at the V. A.). I shared the room with 2 other women, both younger than me. It felt funny being in the V. A. - none of us were Veterans. Both hospitals have amazing views!

That is super! I am glad he is getting good treatment!

My room view in my hospitalization was totally weird. I could see the outer wall of the hospital. Kind of like many school classroom views!

That would definitely boost my mood after surgery.

Had a relative staying at the VA hospital there and when we went to visit I remember thinking those amazing views would definitely help with recovery! Wishing your DH an uneventful recovery!

Thanks for the good thoughts, I so appreciate them. He's doing well this morning and will go home in a few hours.

Suzyteach—yes, sometimes there are OHSU patients here! The same thing happened to my grandpa.
