White board turned bulletin board

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hello all! This is my first post here and I have a question about a white board in my classroom. I need to turn it in to a bulletin board but not sure how to do it. What can I put on it to make it look more bulletin board like and how can I keep/stick things on it? Thanks so much!

I have done this in the past. I used fabric to cover it and either hot glued stuff or taped it depending on how long I planned on keeping it up.

Is it in good condition? What I do is put border around the white board and tape up the things I want on the board. I love whiteboard instead of cork board because it's easy to change what it says without having to print out new posters. Just use dry erase!

Is it magnetic by any chance?

I had a classroom with a huge whole wall black chalkboard. It was relatively close to my SmartBoard so I was highly discouraged from using it [as chalk dust is harmful for the projectors.]

Luckily it was magnetic so I just cleaned it very well and used magnets to put up everything from the borders to the contents. It looked great just as it was.

If you want to cover it with fabric or paper, try using glue dots! You can find them by the scrapbook stuff. You can also use these to put up border. If it's magnetic, I would just use magnets to put stuff up. If not, you may need to get creative with plastic sleeves or maybe poster putty (if it doesn't pull the color off the paper)

Is it in bad shape? I bought sytrofoam posters from the Dollar Tree, duct taped them to the board. Yes it stayed the whole year. From there I used it just as I would a bulletin board.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I ended up using a table cloth from dollar tree with some packing tape. It stayed up for about 2 weeks. I decided to take it down and embrace the white board. I have things taped up there as well as written so I guess it works for now. Will definitely try glue dots soon!

Home Depot sells long sheets of skinny insulation sheets that we screwed in the corners to cover up the board. Then it becomes more like a bulletin board. You can use tacks and staples and you can cut it to any length.
