Instrument storage

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am a fourth grade gen ed teacher. My students have band and orchestra as specials. I have to store their instruments in my room, but do not have instrument storage. They try to keep them back in their cubbies, but they get really crowded and in the way. They get knocked down and at least a few times kids had violins fall on their head while trying to get theirs off the shelf back there. Does anyone have the same situation and a good storage solution they could share with me?

Do you have the room/can you get your hands on two or three five-shelf bookcases for the bigger, but lighter, instruments?

No room for that in my small room. I was thinking a large rubber tote. It is really the violins that seem to be the problem. I think one would be enough. What do you think?
