Have you met your students? What do you think? Is it going to be a challenging year? Let's share!

Adorable. A couple of chatty Cathie's and 3 girls that never should have been put together (I hope they enjoy it this year because it won't happen next year ). And one boy that I'm already incredibly worried about.

Send those girls north, south and west in the classroom. Place the boy you are worried about close to where you are most of the day. He should sit with someone who enjoys being helpful. Chatty Cathies aren't that bad. Just have some quiet areas where you can send them as needed. You've got this! Have a great year!

I teach 3 sections of reading. My homeroom of 22 is fabulous! They were complimented by the lunchroom duty teacher for being so patient and quiet while waiting in line for a long time
They seem to be enthusiastic learner's and very lovable.
My other 2 classes have IEP students who are going to be a bit challenging. And the reading levels are quite the range!

I am glad you were blessed with a wonderful homeroom. That will make the year very enjoyable. I know you are up to the challenge of helping students from many different reading levels, but I wish you luck anyway. May you get them all excited about books and reading so they will really try their best and make great progress.

I had a wonderful class last year! So I guess it is time for a challenging year. My class is so chatty. I am often ringing my voice check bell... They are also very low academically. It is only week 4 so maybe it will get better.
