I don't. I don't like eating anything other than breakfast foods before 11. When my assigned lunch at school was 10:40 I hated it, not to mention I was starving by dinner. The rest of my family can eat anything anytime. Your breakfast sounds yummy.
Growing up my breakfast of choice was a grilled cheese sandwich. My second choice was cold pizza with orange juice.
I know I made healthy breakfast when my kids were growing up. Really in to whole food eating before it was popular. DD still laughs that I kept wheat germ in a sugar shaker.
Growing up, my mom made me bologna sandwiches for breakfast. Even now, I eat leftover pizza or chow mein for breakfast. I'll also have cereal for dinner!
Its a louisiana thing. It's served from Twelth Night to Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday). It is shaped like an O and covered in purple. Gold, and green frosting or sprinkles depending on the baker. Inside is a little plastic baby, gold coin, or bean. The person who get the slice with the baby (most common) has to bring the cake the next party. The cake has multiple symbolic meanings having to do with thr 3 kings and the Christ child.
The cake itself is a delicious rolled and filled cake - super flakey with yummy stuff in the center of the roll. My favorites are brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese and cherry cream cheese.
I have been known to eat breakfast food (aka cereal or oatmeal) for dinner when I didn't feel like cutting and chopping veggies for lunch or dinner. Once in a while I might eat 'leftover dinner foods' for breakfast when I'm in hurry or not in the mood for cereal.
Traditional breakfast foods (other than cereal or sweets) make me feel queasy in the morning. I can eat them in the evenings, though. Last night DH and I had breakfast sandwiches for supper.
My favorite breakfast as a kid was tomato soup and grilled cheese, and I also like cold pizza.
Cold pizza is an excellent breakfast. So is grilled cheese. And I can't tell you how many times I have had "breakfast" for dinner. In fact, most high school athletes I know are eating cereal for dinner because it's something they can grab quickly before a late practice. They eat a big lunch and a huge snack after school though.
I definitely eat what I'm hungry for when I'm hungry for it! But I do try not to eat sweets or junk food before lunch. There has to be some pretense of healthy living.
I never ate breakfast the majority of my life because as a kid, I was anxious about going to school and could not eat. It became a habit. The exception is when I had a friend in college who I had classes with. She wanted to eat breakfast each morning. She picked on me for only eating a piece of toast. I think she was jealous that I was thin.
Anyway, I am now very particular about what I eat and when to maintain all the weight I lost and to keep my sugar down.
No breakfast, only cottage cheese, a few pieces of cheese, and peanuts for lunch, and chicken and vegetables or an entree salad for dinner. Then most of the time a little sugar free chocolate for desert except for Fridays when I have my one dish of ice cream.
No snacking though I sometimes sneak a piece of sugar free chocolate in the mid afternoon.
I eat what I want when I manage to/want to eat it as well. Cold pizza for breakfast has always been my favorite! Although, my "breakfast" time is more like 11 or later. I rarely eat in the morning right away, and I hate going out for breakfast unless it's brunch. But there is no "wrong time" for certain foods. From your title, I thought you were going to say you eat a ton of food right before bed or something, or while you are giving a presentation
My only "rule" is that I don't eat or drink anything sweet before I've had a decent meal. I don't want sugar to be hitting my blood stream first. That does mean that I wouldn't eat a donut for breakfast until I'd had something else that wasn't laden with sugar. I also try for protein before or with carbs (so a big bagel for my first meal doesn't work, but a bagel with fried egg and cheese does )
I eat breakfast foods for dinner quite often because I rarely eat breakfast. DH comes from a culture that traditionally does hot dishes (including rice) for every meal. He's still not a big fan of cold sandwiches for lunch.
That is my all time favorite breakfast. Frozen icing tastes like fudge- yum! I wish I could indulge my sweet tooth all the time, but my pants and bloodwork are spoil sports.
Thank you, Zephie, for your explanation. I was wondering, too. It reminds me of the Mexican tradition of sharing a “rosca” on January 6, the Day of the Three Kings. Whoever gets the embedded and hidden little plastic baby has to throw a party on February 2. A “rosca” is a large circle of sweetbread that is cut into smaller pieces for serving. The traditional “rosca” is served with Mexican style hot chocolate. It would make a tasty breakfast! But probably not very nutritious.
I often have a half sized peanut butter sandwich for breakfast instead of lunch. And sometimes I’ll have eggs for dinner.
Once in a while I MUST have a cheeseburger for breakfast. I don't eat fries or onion rings with it, so I feel as long as it's not frequent, I'm ok. There's just something so damn good about a breakfast cheeseburger.
And we're having sausage, fruit, and homemade waffles for dinner tonight.
I'm not really a breakfast person-- I eat a very small portion of oatmeal or yogurt with berries most of the time, I will eat scrambled eggs with a tortilla on the weekends. I absolutely will not eat breakfast foods for lunch or dinner. I've been the way since I was a kid-- my mom liked to make pancakes for dinner and I think the schedule-sensitive part of me said it was wrong.
I used to eat hot, left-over pizza in the morning for breakfast as a kid, I didn't like it cold and still don't.
I haven't eaten breakfast for years and years, so I don't really have to worry about it. I sometimes have breakfast foods for lunch or dinner, but I think that's more typical anyway. I was on a pancake kick there for awhile.
Mardi Gras isn't big here, but I have a friend who previously lived in various Southern states and she's really into it. One year, she brought a King cake to our Super Bowl party. She told us whoever gets the baby is next to get pregnant . Maybe she was just being facetious- it's not like any of us knew! But then no one wanted to eat it .
I figure food is food. I eat what I want to eat when I want to eat it. I aim for healthy, but if I want a piece of fudge at breakfast, who is to say that's worse than a donut?
ETA: I had BBQ rib meat on a Hawaiian roll with warmed up mashed potatoes at 9:30 this morning. I'm probably having cereal and toast for dinner. I skipped lunch. I just ate half a cookie right now.

Interesting! It is also a Spanish, Portuguese, French and Mexican thing. Here in SoCal many Mexican Americans celebrate Epiphany (January 6) with their version of King Cake called Rosca de Reyes.
I'm not one for traditional American breakfasts. I will eat whatever I feel like at whatever time I feel like it. I often have leftover dinner for breakfast (soup, rice, beans, potatoes, spaghetti, etc.).
