Clip to ScrapBook #1

That will come visit my room. They will stay about 25 minutes and i want to read a book and do some sort of activity/craft with them. I"d like them to have something to take with them to remember our classroom by.

I want it to be cute! Any ideas of books/something simple to do with my class and about 10 preschoolers? Thanks!

I teach pre k and found that when I do story props with them it helps. One of my favorites is doing The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. You can find story props on www.kizclub.com or dltk.com. You could even have the kids make a caterpillar out ouf construction paper after. If you need more suggestions let me know.

The VHC is a great idea.

You could do a simple colour the caterpillar parts and glue it on a black background (which looks effective) or something else like collage coloured paper on the caterpillar, or scruch tissue paper and glue on ....

A great VHC printable that actually looks like the real thing can be found at:
http://www.teachervision.fen.com/tv/...ty_Booklet.pdf You can view and print up to 5 items from this site without a subscription... and if you go and clear your cookies after 5... you can get five more.... and five more .... and five more (takes patience, but sometimes worth it).

Another Good one is here: http://images.scholastic.co.uk/asset...ur1-314987.pdf

A great caterpillar parts outline (to colour, cut, paste) can be found at:
