Clip to ScrapBook #1

Is there a certain number of years you should teach before asking to move up? I've taught 2 years in kinder. I am not unhappy, but always saw myself in an older grade. And if I'm in kinder next year I'm fine with that. I'm not sure how to approach my principal, or if I should.
Thanks

Hi Shapegame,
I think that approaching your principal is what you need to do. When we have openings in our school, the principal sends out an email asking if anyone is interested in moving to another grade. You can mention that you are interested in another grade level to continue learning. There might just be another teacher in your building that has been thinking the same thing. Good luck.
