I want this:

I wish it was smart enough to know the GRL based on just scanning the ISBN. Wouldn't that be fabulous?!?!?

that I ordered from librarything.com when I set up my account. I think it was only $40 for both the scanner and the lifetime library management which I can access anywhere there is internet access. It works great and saves loads of time !!!! I did have to manually enter about 40 of my 1300 books beacuse they were not in the system, but I didn't think that was too bad.

Wow! I want the intelliscanner too...but I wonder the classic or the mini! I went to the librarything website and don't see a scanner. Would I really have to set up an account first to see it?

What 'system' does the cat scanner use? I saw a link for a program called "My Classroom Library" that catalogs your library and keeps track of student check in/out - but the only review I found was negative.
Are there any programs out there that will catalog my library, allow for check in/outs, and track student reading?
I like the intelliscanner but it doesn't sound like it was made for borrowing books.

Just bought my Intelliscanner Classic today! Can't wait to get it. I am very interested to see just how many books I have. Over the summer I re-stickered my "book basket" books and I know I have well over a 1000 there, not to mention all of my leveled books....it will be very interesting to see the final count.

OK-hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question, because I don't mean it that way, but does the Intelliscanner do anything besides count the number of books in your library?

Is the scanner capable of keeping track of which students sign out which books for home reading??
