I have a students with a mental illness who (apart from other significant behaviors) is cutting in class. Not life threatening but there is blood.
What would your school's policy be on that? What would you do ?

I can update but I would like to get input from other's first.

I don't know what age but I think the student needs a para to be with the student at all time to ensure safety, try to prevent cutting and handle blood issues.

I'm wondering if a regular ed classroom is truly the LRE for the student as well (not knowing other issues, academics, etc).

Scary.

in the moment, call for administrator and/or guidance counselor, then call home.

from there, I don't know what I'd do aside from reconvene the IEP and make a safetly plan
