Clip to ScrapBook #1

someone in another forum shared that one of the activities she has her kids do at the end of the year is go on virtual field trips (on the computer to places like the Smithsonian).

do you have any that you know are good (and easy to navigate) and appropriate for 5th grade?

*i would never be able to find her post to see if she gave any examples other than Smithsonian.

Thanks!

Try famous national parks like Yellowstone, Glacier, etc.

I would also try caves like Mammoth.

What about other tourist attractions in Washington, D. C. like the White House, Capitol, and Supreme Court.

I don't know what state you live in, but maybe there are famous tourist attractions there that have virtual tours.

We have done an African Safari that is live. They will mention the name of your school, and you can type in questions for them to answer. The kids loved hearing their names when they answered the questions!
