Shoe Tying

Clip to ScrapBook #1

My 4th grader has been working on the first steps of shoe tying with our OT (it's been a struggle...sensory behaviors are very interfering with this student)and she and I talked about getting a shoe with different colored laces for him to practice with as a task box.

Well, last spring I broke my right foot and was in a walking cast. As a result, I wore down my left sneaker, while the right was barely worn at all. Since the laces were bright orange, I took a black sharpie and colored half the string...ta-da! Practice shoe, with bi-colored laces, for free!

Just though I'd share!
