The post below has me thinking about all things TPT...

1) How many TPT items have you purchased?

2) Who is your favorite seller?

3) Do you sell on TPT?

4) Do you buy more math or Lang Arts on TPT?

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't believe in spending my own money to do my job. I've only gotten free things off of TPT, mostly math related. If I'm looking for something, I'll go on there and set the filter to "free" only so that I'm not even tempted to purchase anything.

1. None
2. Some freebies from Nicole Shelby and a couple of others.
3. No
4. Free Lang arts.
I m like Haley23. I just prefer to not spend any more of my money. And I usually change or adapt the work to fit my needs too. I know this is not a popular view

169 items.

I have several favorite sellers. Dee Dee Wills, Marsha McMguire, Deanna Jump.

I don't sell items.

Pretty evenly split but maybe slightly more language arts.

1. Maybe 2
2. Donít have any
3. No
4. Varies purchases

I use more of the FREE items than anything. I donít like buying a product I canít fully review before purchasing. I know sellers give previews, but that is not enough for me. I want to see the whole product from beginning to end to see if it is worth my money.

2) I have several: Just a Primary Girl, Learning in Wonderland, Amy Groesbeck.

3) No

4) More clipart and fonts but of ELA and math I buy more math.

1) How many TPT items have you purchased? Quite a few...we don't have reading, science or social studies curriculum....

2) Who is your favorite seller? The Sweetest Thing (Social Studies) and Not So Wimpy Teacher

3) Do you sell on TPT? yes, but not a ton...I generally just post things that worked well in my classroom...so I'm not actually "creating" a ton of new things just for TpT

4) Do you buy more math or Lang Arts on TPT? We are departmentalized, so I don't teach math.

1) How many TPT items have you purchased? 13 paid . 320 free

2) Who is your favorite seller? Don't have one

3) Do you sell on TPT? No

4) Do you buy more math or Lang Arts on TPT? pretty even - most of the paid ones though are ELA.

I also don't like paying for things for school. I am pretty discerning on the ones I purchase. They have to be things I can't make myself or would be too time consuming. And always on sale.

1) How many TPT items have you purchased? TONS! I don't want to check! I'd rather spend a few bucks on something I can find it a quick few minutes than take all the time to come up with an idea on my own and create it! It's well worth my time!

2) Who is your favorite seller? Oh man, I have ton! I love the mentor sentence stuff by Jivey. When I taught 4th grade, I used a lot of stuff by Nicole Shelby. I also like Wise Guys, Classroom Caboodle, Jennifer Bengal, Jennifer Frindley, and a lot more!

3) Do you sell on TPT? No...I'm totally not creative enough!

4) Do you buy more math or Lang Arts on TPT? I'm not sure. I purchase for all subjects: math, literacy, science, social studies, etc. I even find some religion things on there sometimes, too!

1) In the last two years, I have purchased 15 items for a total of $100 ($35 reimbursed), but I download free stuff all the time.

2) I don't have a favorite. Maybe Jivey, but I've only bought one bundle from her, so it's not like I am constantly shopping in her store.

3) No, but I've considered it

4) History and science mostly. I also download almost every clip art package that is highlighted in the Sunday freebies email

I'm willing to pay for items that I am likely to use no matter what school I go to. I don't want to have to go through the hassle of re-purchasing something with new school funds. I also just view it as my charitable giving to the school. I'd likely donate money to a fundraiser for my school, so I just donate it in a more targeted fashion this way.

If it's something I'm likely to only use at my current school or only use temporarily, I'll submit a reimbursement request.

1) How many TPT items have you purchased

a lot-77 paid and 293 free. I had some stuff-mostly free for K but when I moved up to third I felt like I need to buy a lot more. I dont have 10 years to hone my craft in this grade or to really "know" the age or content. Also I am going digital where I can and I'd rather buy someones digital files than convert everything I have myself. I also have autism specific items I have purchased for ESY. I dont have time to make my own stuff for this since its not my main job.

Who is your favorite seller?

Melissa Jackson-I like her for her Nat Geo ELA stuff-Nat geo really needs to be spiced up

Mrs. J's resource creations-super fun math mysteries and math quests that my student actually work to earn like it s a party or something.

Moving mountains in education - great digital resources. Tons of ELA comprehension work that formatted for google classroom.

3) Do you sell on TPT?

No but I have thought about it. I have spent a lot of time converting a lot of assessments and other things specific to our ELA curriculum, Nat Geo Reach for Reading, to google forms and google classroom files. I have also created some fun coding units with my ozobots but it seems like getting it all ready to creating a store would be a lot of work

4) Do you buy more math or Lang Arts on TPT?

Both equally but for different reasons.

In math I buy fun stuff like equivalent fraction coloring pages and math mystery projects and multiplication facts mystery pictures.

In ELA I am trying to spice up what I have and fill in the many holes. I feel like I buy out of necessity in ELA rather than to provide fun extras.
