I have seen those story starter type things out there. But as I have spent way too much money on school stuff already, I refuse to pay $15 for something I can do myself. It essentially gives kids the who, what, and where of a story. I plan on doing them on colored index cards and keeping them on a ring.

I was wondering if anyone had a file of story starters already. Yes I can be creative in coming up with my own, but sometimes, especially at this time of year, your brain gets tired.

these are helpful but.....(always a but) I realized I wasn't asking for what I really wanted.

I want an idea such as the Write-Abouts. They have Write-Abouts such as wacky headlines, silly stories, etc. I think they are a neat idea for kids who get stuck.

Anyone have anything like that? Now that I finally know what I really am looking for!
