I am looking for a /qu/ poem to review with my first graders. Any help would be great!!!

okay, had fun with this (maybe too high, but great vocab opp)

The queen had a quibble and questioned the quiz
She threw down her pencil and quoted "Gee Wiz."
I'm quitting this now, and quickly took a bow,
Quietly quenching her thirst with a fiz!!!!

Q is for Quilt
My grandma built a quilt for me
With everything from A to Z!
My favorite square is the letter Q
Because it always comes with U!

Queen, and quarter, quilt and quit
Are four of the words that Grandma fit
Into that square for the letter Q,
That always comes along with U!

How QU Came To Be

Q and U once made a bargain.
It was very long ago.
They agreed to walk together
Wherever they might go.

"I will be your loyal helper,"
said the little vowel u.
"You are so kind and I thank you,"
Said the grateful letter q.

"Now if you will stand beside me,
And will be my right-hand man,
We would work quite hard together
As two alphabet letters can."

"What if we should quarrel or quibble?"
Asked the little vowel u.
"Then we both would be unhappy
And I'm sure that wouldn't do."

"Let us come to an agreement,"
Said q to the letter u.
"When I'm quick to lose my temper,
I'll apologize to you."

So q and u are always friendly,
And together they can be seen
In many words on our book pages,
And everybody thinks it's keen.

Try the book The Wedding of Q and U by Maureen Keegan. It will give you ideas about the wedding. I got mine on Amazon.

I was wondering if you received any poems, songs, etc. for a QU wedding at school.
