More help with Spots/Polka Dots

Hello! I appreciate all the great ideas that I recieved when I asked about polka dots and I have been working on it...but I am wondering if anyone can think of any catchy titles. Here is what I have so far...

Star student= "Student Spotlight" (I am going to make a spotlight and have it "shine" down onto the BB and put thier pictures in the light)

Decoration in hall= "Look who's been spotted in third grade!" (I made a set of binoculars and I am putting the kids names on different colored "spots")

I would appreciate any ideas for other places in my room (the "welcome" BB which has the lunch menu, calendar, school news etc)(birthdays)(reading area)(cubbies)....

Thank you so much for any help I am a first year teacher and feeling pretty anxious!

"3rd grade's THE spot for a great year!" - welcome Bulletin board with lunch menu, calendar, school news, etc

Birthday board - "Spot today's celebrity!"

Reading area - "The Dot Spot"

not sure about cubbies...

Hope this helped.

You could have spotted animals say some of the catchy phrases for your boards/centers, such as dalmations, cows, cheetahs, etc.

That could be cute, too.

Hello! I have not really come up with any more ideas...I am a first year teacher and I picked out a large rug (http://www.rug-decor.com/RDCatalog/detail.aspx?ID=4759) with what I like to call polka dots on it for my classroom. I then got the idea that as a theme I should call them spots because I actually have ideas for "spots"...but now my problem is that I really only have two ideas for spots! My star student area and a display for the hallway. I would like to come up with at least two more titles (one for my behavior chart and the other for my BB that has the calendar/menu/weekly news on it). I have purchased things with polka dots on it from various stores (such as folders, notepads, containers etc) but if I can't think of anything else to do with "spots" then I may just give up on a theme for this year because I have too many other things to think about!

I am also looking for a new "spots" idea. In the past I've used: "Second Grade Hits the Spot!" and "Look Who's Been Spotted in Second Grade". Good luck with your first year!

i was so glad to stumble across your spots! I too am doing spots and dots!

I teach K at a christian school and have been trying to come with a title such as spotted with god's love......etc

I would really like a behavior chart idea. Last year we did bees and a bee hive where they had to move their bee for a behavior problem. Any ideas for a spotted/dotted chart?

Please keep me posted and I will do the same if you hav more ideas!

Oh, I used cd's silver side up then put a colored piece of paper in the middle with a letter in it. This is my sign for my classroom door. It looks great!

So far the only thing I have thought of for behavior is to make a really big target and write each child's name on an arrow and they will move thier arrow out of the middle when they misbehave...it's not really a spot..but I guess a title could be "Are you in the right Spot?" or maybe "Watch your Spot!" I am not sure...I
don't really like it but if I can't think of anything else I may use it!

I am interested in the CD's, do you have a picture? I can seem to understand in my mind what it would look like...also, what letters are in each one?

I did not spend a thousand dollars on that rug-I am not crazy! I took a picture of that rug to a carpet outlet and they found one that looks almost identical to that picture...
