I had seen several posts about www.vistaprint.com so I went and checked it out!! I got so much stuff for free I thought I was dreaming! I got return adress labels, 250 business cards, 50 magnet business cards (that I am going to give out to all the parents at the beginning of the year, so my number will be on the fridge!), 100 postcards with a education picture on the front and the back I just put Reminder! so I can send home durring the year to remind about meetings projects etc., self-inking stamps one with the schools address and the other one I put "please sign and return", notepad with my name and school address and phone number. All of it cost me about 20$ in shipping and handling!! I thought they would only let you get one of the free things but nope you can get as many as you want!! Also, I you can upload pictures for 2.99 SO I am going to take a picture of a landmark in the area to put on the front of a postcard THEN get 100 of the free postcards and use them in the postcard exchange I am doing this year...it will end up costing me about 5$ for all my postcards and I should have some left over for next year!! Anyway If you havent checked it out yet DO IT!!
Do you have to pay shipping ? When I selected the design and did info
I pushed preview and nothing happened. Help us out here. It sounds great just don't want to get stuck.
ok when you go to vistaprint.com on the side they list all the stuff they have...click on postcard or magnet and you should see which ones they have for free. Its the small business magnets and the standard size postcards. They are free even though they are not listed under the "free products" section. The shipping was cheaper because when you combine different items they dont charge as much for each item. I hope this helps!
Wow!! You did good! Tell me about what your card looks like...
here's the reason why: I went there, and I think I got totally taken!! I think it's because I customized it too much. I feel like a dope, because I ended up paying $30 for 250 cards!!! Nothing else! Actually, I don't mind THAT much, because the cards looked soooo cool, but is that why I'm paying so much? I had printing on the back and front, color, etc.
I would really like to know what I did wrong!! Thanks!
Yeah I did color on the front and the back was greyscale (that was the free option the colored back cost more). Also the 100 postcards were free but if you got 250 you were charged. It still isnt bad though for that many cards!!
I just looked and 250 with a colored back is 29.98$. You have to click that you want greyscale on the back when you are filling out what should be on the back of the postcard.
Oh my goodness! I was DUPED!! I didn't even really care if I had greyscale or not on the back-- I just put a quote, nothing important!! OH WELL! Those parents BETTER like that BLUE quote on the back!!
I'm feeling pretty slow here -- even on those pages I can't find any that are free! I wonder what's wrong with the way I'm doing it. For the magnets, 25 are 12.99 and 50 are 19.99 hmmm..and postcards are 24.98 for 100. Maybe it's just me today...
I ordered the free business cards, it was less that $3.00 for shipping. When I placed that order the screen came up with many free items. I got so excited I placed another order BUT the shipping was expensive. I ordered return labels--typed all the information. The screen showed a picture of return address labels with only my e-mail address and phone number on them.(like my teacher business cards) I quickly called them, they said once you place an order you can not change it? I said it was not what I typed? They said it had to be the same info as business cards... so please be careful!
Ok, I love this! I did all the stuff, but I can't seem to get anything else free except the stamp and the business cards. Even after using your links. Margaret, I found the magnets and postcards cost the same that you did.
Brett, please let me know what I'm doing wrong. I would love to get all the free stuff you did. And I totally don't mind paying only $20 for all that.
Hmmm...not sure why youre having trouble when I click on the links I see at the top Postcards 24.99 which is crossed out and next to it, it says FREE. Then on the left there is a little price chart that has 100 Free and then other amounts and colors with prices next to them. On the magnet link you have to scroll down to small magnets and it says starting at 12.99 which is crossed out and it says FREE.
Infact I read this thread and placed an order for free postcards. I had them made to sit on their students desk on Curriculum night. BUT when I went to try to add other FREE stuff, I can't even find the spot where I got the free post cards. Now everything has regular prices with no slashed prices and "Free" in red.
I tried the two links that you provided above and they take you to the site, but not to the "free" ones. Weird!
They must have some computer genius who designed their website because it is changing all the time!!
At least we get free stamps and business cards. I might go back and check for a few more days to see if they go back to "free". Otherwise, I will just buy what I've got. Thanks again for the info. Anything free is awesome!
Free Invitations (This page actually has SEVERAL free items on it including note cards, invitations, photo cards, caricature products, and announcements) http://www.edealinfo.com/cgi-bin/cjr.cgi?10287851
Hope this helps!
Jenny
Correction: Just notices the photo cards aren't free, but they're pretty cheap!
if you have to pay for shipping... I checked it out and it came out to 22$ of shipping! I don't call that free anymore... I can get a stamp for cheaper than that =o) oh well... I tried!
nat
Sure, it's not cost-free, but if you go to Staples or Office Depot and ask for all of the things personalized that I am getting, it is a lot more than $22. I ordered:
250 Business cards
1 Personalized notepad
1 Rubber stamp
10 Personalized notecards
10 (?) Return Address Labels
10 Caricature notecards
I paid $21 in shipping. I think that's a deal, even if it's not "free."
I tried lastnight and a lot of it wasn't free, but tonight I tried the different links everyone's given (esp. Ms. York & JRichard) and it seemed to work. If it doesn't say free for you, go order something else that says "free" and come back and try the previous link again. It's like it knows how much you are getting and how much they will offer you for free.
All that stuff I got would have only cost me $13.20 in shipping, but I wanted it here a little faster (since school is starting soon), so I paid $21 instead. But like another poster said, it's much better than getting all that personalized somewhere else.
When I first read this thread, I went to see what I could do, but at first I was only able to get the stamper and business cards for free. I did register my email, select a pw, etc. However, I had trouble getting the other things mentioned, such as the magnets, postcards, and address labels. I figured I was too tired at the time, so I just X'd it out and thought I would go back to it later.
Then, in my email, they sent me links to get the magnets, postcards, etc. Much to my delight, the other things that I had already selected were still on my order and I was able to add more "freebies". I completed it tonight. My total shipping was only $13.20 for all the things I mentioned!
Hope this is helpful to anyone who had trouble finding all the "freebies"! JKB
I'm so glad I read your post. I checked out VistaPrint but didn't have much success at first. But I got an email today offering lots of free items. Thanks for the helpful tip.
I got all that stuff I ordered in the mail the other day and it looks great! By the way, I don't know why, but the return address labels came a few days later. *shrug*
But everything is exactly like I wanted it and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Brett for the GREAT info.
After completing my first order, I got another email with even MORE free offers. The most recent email offered brocheres, too. I made one with my entire grading policy on it. It includes my grading scale, information about Accelerated Reader requirements, Weekly Progress reports and more! I will be passing these out at our Open House.
Thanks again, brett158, for the original information! JKB
