Need 3rd/4th grade Listening Center Ideas

I plan to have a listening center for reading next year. I need some ideas on activities that would go with books on tape. I would like my students to do more than "just listen to the book." Does anyone have a general activity that could go with ANY book on tape? How do you hold them accountable for the center?

I also plan to use a listening center next year. I have Bloom's Taxonomy questions on laminated cards. I am going to have the children use these. They can turn the answers in to me after finishing. You could also ask them one question using certain skills you are teaching such as inference or main idea/supporting details, etc.

Here are a couple of questions>>>

How might the story end differently?
What might be a betteer title for the story?
Set up an interview with the main character.
Draw an illustration of the setting.
Have the students compile standarized test questions based on the story.

Put post-it notes in your center so that students may record their thoughts/connections while listening to the story.

Book discussion questions (higher-level thinking questions) can be done with a partner.

Then students can write a reading response letter to you recording their thoughts on the book.
