I am so excited. I just found out that a teacher I used to work with is having a backporch teacher yard sale in the morning. She has tons of stuff, furniture, rugs, decorations, storage, etc. I am thrilled! I hope I find something I can use...HA!HA!

I am jealous. I checked to see where you are from, but I guess it would be a little difficult for me to get from Minnesota to Florida by tomorrow morning
Have fun! I hope you get lots of good things for your classroom.

You lucky, lucky girl! I'm drooling with jealousy. I went to an advertised teacher rummage a couple of Saturdays ago and the lady actually had good stuff, unfortunately it just wasn't for my grade levels. DS got a basketball, however. You know, 12 is not enough I guess!

If you go to craigslist under gargage sales, you can type in 'teacher' for the garage sale. Anything that the seller posted as 'teacher stuff' will come up.

teacher store

We have a great teacher store in town that started an annual teacher "yard sale" last year where teachers could bring all the stuff they wanted to sell to the store's parking lot. It wasn't very well advertised last year, but it turned out to be a success. Some retiring teachers brought all their stuff. I can't wait for this year's yard sale!

the yard sale was in Fanning Springs on the Suwannee River. I don't know if that is anywhere near you or not. I went and didn't get a lot. I did get several resource books, mailbox magazines, a subtraction bingo game, and some landform posters. She had tons of resource books and tons of holiday decorations. Not really anything I could use. I was glad I went though. She was my son's 2nd grade teacher and I haven't seen her since she retired a couple of years ago.

I saw two teacher sales advertised in our local paper today. I didn't go, though.

Our district hosts a "retired teacher" garage sale every year. I've gotten so much wonderful stuff there.
