"Boy" disney movies

My DH and I were trying to brainstorm Disney movies for boys seeing as we have almost all princess ones for our DD.

We are hitting a "movie-block"! Besides Pinocchio and Lion King we can't think of anymore!

I know there are a lot of Disney lovers out there...help us! My 2 year old DS can name every princess and it's starting to bug my DH to no end!

My son enjoyed Tarzan and Peter Pan Return to Neverland when he was younger. Jungle Book and Robin Hood are also two older but boy centered Disney films

What about "Hercules"? My DS loved that movie, plus it's very funny (w/ the two sidekicks for Hades, I forget their names!). Plus, the main character is a real he-man, the villain is male, the "coach" is male, etc. There is a curvaceous girl in distress....

What about "Mulan"? The main character is a girl, but she dresses as a boy and is not "princess-ey" at all. Lots of male characters in that one.

I'm not sure of content for all of these, depending on what limits you and DH have in place.

Toy Story
Robin Hood
Peter Pan
Aristocats
101 Dalmations
Dumbo
Aladdin
Cars
Finding Nemo
Brother Bear
The Incredibles
Pete's Dragon
The Jungle Book

My son likes The Fox and the Hound. There is a newer sequel, too, but we haven't seen it.

And I agree with all those that have been mentioned.

Oh, and DS recently saw (and liked) Dumbo. I got it from the library. And we just rented The Sword in the Stone from Netflix.

DS just turned 5, by the way. He doesn't like Pinocchio because he says it is scary.

Do you have the Fantasia movies? They are pretty unisex.

What about some of the classics, not cartoon ones: Old Yeller, Apple Dumpling Gang, Shaggy DA, That Darn Cat, Herbie, the ones with Kurt Russell

Those are the only ones I can come up with.

This is probably too old for your son now but my family, boys especially, love the Disney musical "Newsies" which has a nearly all boy cast. It has Ann Margaret in it and was probably Christian Bale's first big role. Every time they watch it they just love it. I think it is rated PG.

Thanks for bringing up SFR. I loved Swiss Family Robinson! (Even though it's a boy movie.)
