Cut or Laminate First

I know I have seen this posted before, but I have tried unsuccessfully to find the old posts. What works best for you? Laminating whole pages and then cutting out the parts, or cutting out the parts and then laminating them?

Cut, then laminate, then cut around the lamination. Otherwise, it breaks the "seal" on the lamination, and it will peel off more quickly. That's what works for me, anyway.

With our laminator I do one of two things:
First, if it is just regular paper... I can laminate and then cut.
Second, if it construction paper, regular paper folded over... I cut first and then laminate and then cut again.

I laminate first and then cut whenever possible....it saves so much time.

I cut first, that way it is sealed all the way.

on what i'm laminating and its purpose.

if i need that seal, i'll cut first, but if it's for something that's not "precious", i'll cut after.

if you are cutting store bought punch out stuff cut first then lam.
Like someone said if using contruction paper lam first then cut.
Sometimes it even depends on the machine and how long it has been on too. I hate it when I lam stuff and start to cut and everything falls apart.

If your lamination didn't seal sufficiently, you can use a regular iron at medium heat with no steam directly on the lamination to seal it up. I've done this many times and it works like a dream.
