Can fellow Connecticut residents recommend a great teacher supply store? I live in Fairfield County, but am willing to drive pretty far!

When I lived in CT (Fairfield County) I used to just drive up to the Teacher-Parent Store in Danbury. It was close to the Danbury Mall so I'd just make it into a big shopping day. There were other stores closer but they were a lot smaller and didn't have nearly as much. It's been a few years since I lived in CT though so maybe they've opened something nice closer. I just noticed on the back of my catalog that there is a Lakeshore Learning in Westchester County, NY now as well so I'd probably go there first.

When I lived in CT I went to Education Works in Milford. It has moved to Orange on the Boston Post Road. Great customer service. I miss shopping there!

The store on the Berlin Tpke that the PP mentioned is really good. There is also a small but decent one in Guilford called Teachers Together. It's on Route 1 in Lighthouse Square.

I live in upper Fairfield County, CT. There is a Parent Teacher store off Exit 2 of 84 on Mill Plain Road. There used to be an Educational Warehouse in Danbury also but it closed last year. There are still Ed Warehouses in White Plains, NY and Westport, CT on Route 1.

Hi
There is a store called The Chalkboard with two locations. One in West Hartford on New Britain Avenue and another in Bristol. I like the West Hartford location better. The Teacher-Parent store in Danbury was always a favorite of mine when I taught down in Fairfield County... I hope this helps!!

I think the closest and most local (I live in Stamford myself) is Education Warehouse on Rt. 1 in Norwalk. It is right before the McDonald's. Another store is located in White Plains, near the Outback Steakhouse.

If you receive ValPak coupons at your house, they have a coupon in it now for $10 off a $50 purchase and 20 ft of laminating for free. They also have a buying incentive type of program.

There is also a Learning Resource store in Scarsdale, NY. I haven't been to it personally but I have ordered from their online catalog.

Good Ideas recently moved to 1432 Main Street in Watertown (off Rt. 8.) The other ones that I know about were already mentioned... in Milford, Danbury, and Westport. I am in New Haven County!! We can meet up for coffee if you PM me when you are up this way!
