what is the STICKIEST clear tape?

I used the scotch packing tape (on the red dispenser) to tape tiny nametags on the plastic edge of my cots. Less than an hour later, the tape was literally coming off of the plastic. Is there a better tape? The one I used said it was "heavy duty" and approved for packaging by the Post Office.

Taping to Plastic

Taping to plastic is hard, especially if the plastic is smooth. I use the scotch packing tape myself, but on some things, it just won't stick. Since I don't like to rough up the surface with sandpaper, I try to use a sticky label.

Did you go all the way around the nametag so that the tape is taped to tape?

If it is humid, no tape works. I use velcro dots to hang and fasten just about everything. Walmart sells them at a reasonable price.

They make clear duct tape too. I also use velcro, wikki sticks, and hot glue all to try and outsmart the hot weather.

no clear tape!

I've never found a clear tape that works...I always use heavy-duty high masking tape. I don't go over any of my nametags with clear tape, instead just make rolls of masking tape and stick them to the back of whatever you want to attach. I always make sure to buy a skinny and fat roll of NEW tape each year...that way it's fresh and hasn't been messed up by humidity or anything else. Look in the hardware store paint section and find tape that says high adhesion.

The heavy book tape is what all of us use. It sticks better than anything else we've tried.

Office Max usually have it. It comes in different widths...I use it all the time...sticks very well to most surfaces! It may leave a residue after you're done.
