Fashionable AND comfortable shoes for teachers

Hi everyone, I completed my first day of class and my feet are killing me! Does anyone have shoes that are super comfortable AND fashionable? Would love brand recommendations. Sorry if this is not really a teaching question!

are killing my feet this year, too! Also, walking way too far for our 3 fire drills in 2 days hasn't helped, either! The fire drill situation has been fixed, but now to find comfy shoes! That look "cute!"

My back, hips, and feet were killing me by the end of the day...a friend recommended
getting a pair of Dansko brand shoes. I have worn them everyday this week and they are AWESOME!! My back and feet have not hurt at all. They are pricey but worth every penny. I'm going to buy another pair or two for winter. You can see styles and a store that sells them near you if you go to dansko.com.

Sperrys are wonderful. They can be a little pricy but I am not sure if I have ever worn a more comfortable shoe!

Hallmark also has a sandal called switchflops where you can velcro cute material on when you want to change shoes! I have some with about a 1/2 heel and my feet never hurt all day!

Find an independent shoe store with a good rep and get fitted. I did it 3 years ago and haven't had a problem since. I go at least once a year and "my shoe guy" tells me which shoes will work best for my feet. I have freakishly narrow feet so I wear Danskos but only the narrow ones. He also tells me which NewBalance sneakers are best for my feet.

There are a lot of fashionable looking comfortable shoes out there but they tend to be expensive. Be ready to spend...it's worth every penny.

A friend of mine swears by Aravon shoes and sandals. I'm going to check them out when I visit "my shoe guy" next.

good luck!

I only wear Clarks. Sandals, clogs, & shoes. A little pricey, but not bad at an outlet store.

Crocs

Crocs are ugly, but comfortable. I am a large woman who can walk all day in my Crocs. My feet never hurt. I heard that they were going to discontinue the original Crocs, so I bought 8 pairs! That should last me about 2 years.

I have a pair of the Gizeh model. So comfortable and very cute! They get even more comfortable as you wear them, too.

Crocs! Danskos???

I have a pair of crocs that are a little different from the classic style. They have little bows. When I wear them with long black pants you can't even see that I have crocs on. Out of the 3 days that I worked this week, the day that I wore the crocs my feet didn't hurt at all! The rest of the days I barely made it through the day!

I would LOVE to try Danskos, but I have a flat foot and have to make sure they don't have an arch built in... I can't wear birkenstocks because of the arches in them.

Cole Haan is partnered with nike for a dress shoe linem- Cole Haan AIR is AMAZING! They are pricier shoes but it s well worth it if you can afford to splurge. I wear them everyday and my feet never hurt by days end.
