I teach fourth grade in Texas and we have to give the TAKS writing test for assessment. I need a new Revising & Editing acronym and strategy because the one I have now isn't working for my students. Please help!

Do you mean something like C.U.P.S ? It stands for capitalization, usage, punctuation, Spelling.

Try ARMS for revision. A - add something to the story, R - remove something from the story, M - move something around in the story, and the S - substitute a better word in the story.
We use the writer's workshop and have different pens.
EX. revise - make the story better (blue pen)
edit - make the story right (red pen)
