Homeworkopoly...With A Twist??

I love the Homeworkopoly ideas posted earlier on the board, but at the 2nd grade level the kids really don't get a lot of homework (other than nightly reading & spelling word concepts, along with a few other special projects). Most of their projects are completed during the school day.

Have any of you ever used this idea to help with effort &/or behavior within the classroom? Thanks for sharing!

Do you assign nightly reading? If my kids complete 100 minutes of reading at home each week and get their log signed by a parent, they get to play.

I use the homeworkopoly board for behavior. If the student does not get a red strip in their conduct chart, they are allowed to play that day. We take the last ten minutes to play. This really helps at the end of the year when the conduct chart does not work as well.

If you go to my site, on the Classroom Management page you will find a link to the Lily Pad Game I made for Behavior Management. You might get an idea, or you are welcome to use mine.
