Hi! I have a student who is in 5th grade and he doesn't take anything seriously. He makes inappropriate comments all the time, and giggles at everything. When I get upset with him, he shuts down. I'm working on setting up a behavior intervention plan. Any ideas?

working on not making annoying noises, giggling, and saying silly things. I have a laminated social story about how mouth noises are annoying. I also have an "I am working for... chart with yes and no boxes on each desk. There are 3 categories with there own set of boxes. The first has to do with managing his homework. The second is for doing classwork, and the third is not making annoying noises/comments. I use words and PECS for each. Together we negotiate how many yes boxes need to be checked for one of my aides to take this student out for an extra recess. (I give a range and let him choose.) Also, if he gets so many no boxes checked there will be no extra recess.
