I am doing the disguising a turkey activity later this month in class and I want to have the kids write a persuasive about not eating the turkey. Does anyone have a good book to share about a turkey that is trying to persuade them not to eat them?

It's about a turkey who thinks he's being pursued to be eaten for Thxgiving, but the animals want him to just be the guest of honor at their vegetarian feast! Very cute!

I do this unit every year with my kids! They LOVE it!

A Turkey for Thanksgiving - Eve Bunting

I use The Perky Turkey (I think that is right...maybe The Plump and Perky Turkey) and it works really well with this project.
